  • Our psychotherapy rates begin at $200 an hour and can be booked 60 minutes or 90 minute sessions.

You can use "Out of Network" benefits.

  • You can use the "out-of-network" reimbursement calculator above to get an individualized estimate of what costs will be using your out-of-network benefits. It takes less than 2 minutes for your results.

If you have out-of-network benefits, they typically reimburse you about 60-80% of the cost of each session.

If you'd like, I will gladly submit claims for reimbursement to your insurance company using Mentaya.

  • Your benefits are usually easy to use. I partner with Mentaya, a company who will submit your claims to your insurance company and help you get reimbursed.

We've partnered with Mentaya, a service that streamlines getting reimbursed for your therapy sessions through out-of-network benefits.

    Here's how it works:

    1. Use the OON Benefits Checker above

    2. Our practice will enter your sessions into the platform.

    3. Mentaya submits the claim and handles any insurance follow-up.

    4. You get reimbursed up to 80% per session by insurance!

Mentaya charges a 5% fee per claim, which includes handling any paperwork required, dealing with denials, and calling insurance companies. They have helped people get thousands of dollars back per year. You are responsible for this claim fee.

It's risk-free: They guarantee claims are successfully submitted, or a full refund of their fees.

Mentaya typically processes reimbursement claims up to 4 weeks faster than typical insurance claims.

On occasion, your first claim can take 45-60 days.

Note: Mentaya's goal is to save you time and money. It's completely optional, and as your therapist I do not benefit in any way from your participation.

Should you wish to submit your insurance claims on your own and not use Mentaya, you can upload a monthly Superbill (a receipt of paid services) to your online portal and they will mai you a reimbursement check. We will automatically send you a monthly superbill to download. A Superbill is provided at no cost to you.

  • The Mentaya benefits calculator will tell you:

    • Your deductible (the amount you pay before insurance reimburses you)

    • Your estimated reimbursement (the amount of money insurance pays you for claims)

    • Your net cost of therapy (the amount you pay for session minus your reimbursement)

Mentaya will give you information specific to your insurance plan.

It's always a good idea to call your insurance company for extra clarity on questions like:

    • Am I able to use my "out-of-network" benefits for telehealth?

    • Can I retroactively submit "out-of-network" claims from this calendar year?

    • Do I need a referral from an in-network provider to see someone out-of-network?

    • Is there a maximum amount of sessions with these benefits?

    • Do my OON benefits cover EMDR and/or CBT?

    • How long does it take for me to receive reimbursement?

  • We will meet via Simple Practice Telehealth (HIPPA Compliant). You can access Simple Practice Telehealth from your web browser or by downloading the free app (available in Apple and Google Play).

You will receive a link to join your telehealth session via text and email.

  • I provide therapy in the following states:

    • Florida (Licensed Clinical Social Worker#SW22625)

    • Tennessee (Licensed Clinical Social Worker* #9165)

    • South Carolina (Professional Social Worker Telehealth Provider #656)

    • Vermont (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker #089.0135884TELE)

Psychotherapy is only available to residents virtually via telehealth in Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Vermont at this time.

  • Telehealth therapy services can be just as effective as in person services for clients that have experienced trauma and anxiety. The only things you generally need for telehealth are reliable internet connection and a private, indoor space.

I do not recommend Telehealth for clients who are experiencing suicidal ideations, crisis, severe symptoms, or substance misuse.

If at any time I feel you need more intensive services or in person, I will be the first to inform you of this recommendation.

We will meet via Simple Practice Telehealth (HIPPA Compliant). You can access Simple Practice Telehealth from your web browser or by downloading the free app (available in Apple and Google Play) and will receive a link to join your telehealth session via text and email.

Teletherapy is only offered to residents who reside and are physically located in the states of Florida, Tennessee, Vermont and South Carolina. This means, we cannot meet for therapy if you are traveling outside of the above states. In this case, we would reschedule your appointment for your return.

  • Our first 3-4 sessions involve us getting to know each other, exploring deeper your reasons for services, and enhancing coping skills. We will discuss your treatment goals and create an initial treatment plan.

During the first few months, we’re going to work on symptom reduction of anxiety and traumatic stress by incorporating CBT, parts work and EMDR, with yoga, reiki, and crystal healing.

If either of us feel we are not the right fit, I am happy to provide you referrals for colleagues and other providers who can best support your therapeutic needs.

  • I welcome this conversation and I am more than happy to refer you to trusted colleagues who can best support your therapeutic needs. It’s important to me that you get the care you deserve.
